HURCO TO FOCUS ON AUTOMATION AND SIMPLE PROGRAMMING AT EMO 2023

At EMO 2023, Hurco is set to captivate attendees on stand D68 in hall 12 with a spotlight on automation and the streamlining of programming processes. This exciting event will be captured by MTDCNC, who will be filming the unveiling of these groundbreaking technologies. Throughout the week, a live stream will showcase the innovations in action, creating an atmosphere of anticipation and excitement.

At the forefront of Hurco’s presentation will be a focus on automation and the simplification of programming procedures. Their cutting-edge control system will take center stage as they demonstrate the effortless programming of freeform surfaces right at the machine. The remarkable capability of tried-and-tested parts handling systems will also be on display.

Sebastian Herr, the Applications Technology Manager at Hurco, emphasized, “In the realm of contract manufacturing, speed and reliability are paramount. Our mission is to empower our customers to meet and exceed these demands by providing them with unparalleled machinery and software solutions.”

An Integral Part of this showcase is the ProFeeder, an integral component of the ProCobots series, which offers plug-and-play simplicity in programming and operation. Highlighting this innovation, Hurco will reveal the ProFeeder in action alongside the TM8Mi lathe. Notably, the ProFeeder’s adaptability extends to various Hurco machines based on specific operational requirements. Its seamless integration into processes is facilitated by the user-friendly WinMax control software, complemented by the Automation Job Manager solution designed exclusively for ProCobots.

Mr. Herr elaborated, “The versatility of our control system will be readily apparent. Our automation solution ensures reliable parts loading, eliminating the need for specialized programming expertise.”

“The familiar operator environment, encompassing the two control system screens, remains unchanged. Moreover, alongside the other features of the WinMax control system, there will be an abundance of images and concise text,” Mr. Herr continued.

The innovation doesn’t stop there. A second pivotal theme for Hurco’s EMO 2023 presence revolves around streamlining on-machine programming. Mr. Herr articulated, “Our commitment is to facilitate efficient operations, reduce turnaround times, and optimize resource utilization. This ethos drives the continual advancement of our control system.”

Introducing a groundbreaking addition this year – the Surfacing option. Hurco’s pioneering Solid Model Import software empowers direct importation of 3D models in STEP format into the control system. This innovation extends the scope of solid model importation to encompass surface data sets. This progressive functionality empowers on-machine programming of intricate freeform surfaces, a feat previously necessitating a CAM workstation.
